Hiking 5 – 6 hours

Day 1. Arrival at the “Mother Theresa” airport in Tirana.
You will drive towards the Qafshtame National Park. Acomodation at Shkreli Resort Hotel inside Qafshtame National Park.

Day 2. View over the Adriatic sea
After the breakfast, we will head upwards one of the Qafshtame park peaks to enjoy the view. The Adriatic sea, hills, fields and cities make this landscape a wonderful one. The picnic will be followed by meditation at this height and in the afternoon we will return to the resort. A presentation will be given at the camp regarding the environmental policies in Albania and the ones of the Qafshtame National Park.

Day 3. Bovilla lake.
Today we start off in direction Bovilla lake. The hiking is characterized by some wonderful and natural panorama of the inner parts of the land. Mountains, dense forests and finally the appearance of the amazing Bovilla lake fulfill the whole picture of the first part of the day. We will then have the picnic on the waterside. To return we will take a different path to the camp. In the afternoon we have some relaxing moments there.

Day 4. Cultural day: Durres – Tirane – Qafeshtame
On this day we visit Durres, which was an important city in the antiquity, especially for merchants. You will see the relics of these times, such as the amphitheatre and the city walls. You can also visit the archaeological museum, which will allow you to discover the history of this commercial town. Later on we visit Tirana, the country’s main cultural hub and discover a city famous for the colourful facades of its buildings and the harmony between the various religions in the country. After this, we come back to the Qafshtame park.

Day 5. Discovering the area villages – The “Droja” waterfall
Today’s hiking will include the countryside. After a sufficient walk through the Qafshtame park forests, we will be visiting some villages in the area. The view over the Skanderbeg’s mountains is breathtaking. Albanian customs and traditions will be perfectly displayed with these tours. The Droja waterfall is one of the natural sights of the Kruja town. After lunch at the residents we return back to the camp. A cooking class with albanian food recipies will be held in the afternoon.

Day 6. Sari Salltik – Kruja town – Qafeshtame
On this day we head towards the Sari Salltik cave. After hiking on the Skanderbeg’s mountain ridge, accompanied by the beautiful view of the Tirana field, the small lakes and the sea, we will then visit one of the most important places of worshiping the Bektashi religion in Albania. Through this visit we will learn more about this moderate Islamic order. Later we walk aiming the Kruja town experiencing further more about the history of our national hero, George Castriot Skanderbeg. Then you can use the remaining time to wander through the Kruja’s Old Bazaar alleys. In the afternoon we return to the camp.

Day 7. The Cape of Rodon– The beach – Qafeshtame.
After the breakfast we begin hiking towards the Rodon cape. This day is characterized by hillwalking and it also offers small lakes, villages and the Adriatic sea bays to enjoy. The hike will end in relaxing moments by the Adriatic beach. We go back to camp in the afternoon.

Day 8. End of journey
